Not Your Type blog, previously known as I Have A Messy Bun blog, is a voice for everyone who dare to be different. Covering art, human beings, trash youth, emotions, culture, women empowerment and words, settled in the city of lights, my blog will tell about every story I live, books that I come across, creativity & art, heartbreaks, living with traditions in 21th century and fictional people that are a part of my life.

Writing fancy about me pages both excited + scares me. First point, YAY I AM GOING TO WRITE ABOUT MYSELF. Second point, YAY I FEEL LIKE I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MYSELF TO WRITE ABOUT. Well, I'm not disappointing you in any way.

Meet me. I'm Areeba. I'm a feminist. I have a last name most of the people spell wrong. I love reading and writing. I keep culture close & religion closer. I make art, I study art and I think art is very important. I sometimes do embroidery. I illustrate, design and a doodle a lot. I never rely on others for my happiness, I create it, sometimes in my head, sometimes in real life.

I am overachieving at aimlessness, I am a type-A, alpha-girl lollygagger, the leader of a gang of heartbroken kids, running wild across this lonely strip of amusements, each of us smarting from the betrayals of a loved one.
-Gone Girl

These are my favorite lines from my favorite book, Gone Girl.

. I am obsessed with space & planets & stars & sea & waves & people that are not real. Umar Jahangir from Amarbail, Jack Sparrow from Pirates Of The Carribean, Peter Hale from Teen Wolf, Wali from Dayar e Dil, Spencer Hastings from Pretty Little Liars, Asi from drama Asi, Demir from Asi. The list goes on but these are some very special people. I can fangirl anywhere.

Then there are people that are real but they're too precious that they look unreal:
Lorde, Troye Sivan, Sanam Saeed, Tavi Gevinson, Osman Khalid Butt & Taylor Swift. There are too many Lorde lyrics that are stuck inside my head. Her Glory & Gore makes me want to be the leader of trash youth of the city. I might become one day, who knows.

Then there's a real human being in my life who's my everything. My sister.
I have a twin sister. No don't think for a minute we're same human beings who look same, think same and do everything same. We're basically the opposites of each other. Her name is Noor and she's the brightest human being I've ever known.

She is shiny, she is bossy, she gets shit done. She's a business student. And she loves tea. Did I tell you I ABSOLUTE HATE TEA? Well, this is one of those vvvv anti-twin points we have. She also has a blog, go over to Noor's Place and say hi!

I like lemonade and a good book. Don't give me YA fiction because I really don't like this genre anymore. There are books that made me + some books that broke me into so many pieces, that's why I NEVER doubt words. They can ruin everything inside you in a second if they want to. It just takes one page to take you to another place. Talking of other places, I LOVE TURKEY. I mean, I've never been there. I've always just fangirled & daydreamed about this country for years. Going to Turkey is one of my life goals.

My plans for life include going into an art school, being a good human being and changing the meanings of being weak.
