2015 and the life + A link up

 DIY calender.
My first ever DIY calender
As I am typing my first post of 2015, it feels giddy & exciting. It's a link up too, so I can't wait to read all of your posts about your new year. This time, I have decided to say NO to make a proper list resolutions because I started writing one list last night and I got bored. It was all "I am going to do this & that & this & that" and the truth is, I'm NOT going to do any of them. Literally 0 of them. My plans better stay in my head for good reasons. The only thing I want to say about new year plans is to: Creative a life and live. This sounds better than a whole list of plans.

I decided to get myself a calender because I've NEVER owned a calender before. But instead of buying one, I made one last night. I MADE A WHOLE FRIGGING CALENDER FROM SCRATCH! This sounded totally unreal at first and I was like, "But who makes their own calenders Areeba?" No more but (s) and I did it!

It started with some old calenders that I found. I never believed I am really going to complete this project because I've never seen anyone making their own calender and I felt like Martha Stewart of the family for a moment. Proud moment.

I actually cut out these tiny pieces and pasted them on a white sheet. Honestly, that part was pain in the ass because they were SO tiny that my eyes started bleeding.

Babies in the progress.

Freshly baked creative shit!

I can't believe I wrote in this font. Oh I am really proud of myself sometimes.

And here's the final product. It has my name on it in caps!!

I don't have hopes or wishes for 2015 to be a year of all happy and sweet and glittery because this is as unreal as Kim K's booty. All I want is to create my life on my own. I want to be a new me with a new life. By new "me" doesn't mean I am going to organize my life, get my shit done and be the Areeba people only can imagine in their dreams but I want to be the Areeba who is more creative, more powerful and less lazy. 2014 totally wrecked me and I'm not letting 2015 be the same so I better kick its ass before it does the same to me. Happy new year everyone! Party hard and don't worry about me, I'm safe in my blanket with my laptop and my sketchbook, how fun!!

And if you want to hang out on my sidebar this new month, I'm giving 30% OFF ON ALL ADS! Just use this magical spell "NY2015" and boom! We will be blog relatives for a whole wicked month.

How was your new year? Any new year resolution?

Me & Noor planned a new year link up "Holla New Year" so we all can have a little excuse to post about our new year ideas/plans/wishes/anything that counts in. So here we are. Link up below if you have something about your new year on your blog. The only rule is to link back to this post (Grab the button doe) and have fun!

  7. This is wonderful. I love your honesty... "I'm not going to do any of them." That's how I feel sometimes... but I can't resist a good goal-making session. :) Cute calendar! I want to DIY my own, but I always get scared that it won't turn out well. :) Happy 2015!
